All CRS clinics provide hospital or hotel like accommodation for volunteers and patients. Combined with spacious lounges and quality catering, this provides maximum well being for volunteers and patients. Internet cafés with several PCs allow internet admission for volunteers and patients. Lounges are equipped with libraries and standard TVs, flatscreen TV or beamer system with 5.1 sound system. Table soccer, table tennis and play stations as well as board games are at our study guests’ disposal.
The arrangement of various wards and lounges in all units allows for a separation of patients and volunteers, elderlies and the young.
Lounges and open-air grounds still are adequate in safety and monitoring for the requirements of clinical trials. They allow outdoor stay for volunteers and patients without risk of direct insolation.
Standardised meals are freshly prepared by CRS employed chefs or delivered by catering services. CRS chefs and dieticians are always informed about dietary restrictions in particular with regard to pharmacokinetic profile days and Food-Drug Interaction studies.
In case of long term inhouse studies, specific attention to the volunteers well-being is given. Social workers care for the needs of study participants. Leisure and amusement events are organized within the restrictive frame of clinical trials, under supervision of social workers and medical staff if requested.
Meeting with private visitors is permitted in lounge areas. Stay of external individuals in the ward sections is strictly prohibited.
